What We’re Looking For
We are actively seeking a dynamic Video Editor with specialized expertise in Digital Advertising. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling through video and a keen understanding of the e-commerce landscape. This role will involve working closely with our clients to produce engaging video content that drives brand awareness, increases customer engagement, and increases revenue. Additionally, the Video Editor will collaborate with internal teams for our agency’s marketing initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with clients to understand their brand, objectives, and target audience in order to create impactful video content tailored to their needs
- Edit and assemble raw footage into polished videos that align with client objectives and brand guidelines
- Ability to produce fast pace, straight to the point, video edits
- Incorporate visual effects, motion graphics, and other elements to enhance the quality and effectiveness of video content
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality video assets that meet project deadlines and exceed client expectations
- Research the market to better understand the competitive nature of video ads for that demographic and industry
- Work closely with the creative team to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, and storyboard video projects
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in video editing, motion graphics, and visual effects
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality
What You’ll Bring to the Table
- 3+ years of experience in Video Editing
- Ability to understand e-commerce audiences
- Expert efficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects is a must
- Expert knowledge of non linear editing
- Expert knowledge of typography and captioning
- Ability to work with vector files for logos and type face
- Ability to produce vertical and square formats and understand placements
- Ability to color and sound mix in Pro
- Has the ability to jump between long form editing and short form TikTok style editing
- Ability to quickly eliminate any “ums”, pauses, and awkward phrases to ensure a clean polished finish
- Ability to put out a minimum of 2-3 videos daily
- Ability to understand what a hook is and sounds like, how to identify them and use them to split a video into a multi-segmented test
- Ability to quickly understand the scope and chop videos fast. We work in a very fast pace environment where 80% perfection is better than 100% if it saves time
- Deep understanding of social and how impactful video is
- Deep understanding of social video trends to stay on top of
- Ability to receive and provide constructive feedback
